Drafts are a powerful tool in Campus Suite, allowing you to make updates to a page or other module information while keeping it hidden from public view until it is ready to be published. Once published it will replace the information that was being seen by the public with the new information.
How do I create a draft?
To create a draft when you go to save instead of selecting Publish select Draft instead. Then enter the Name of the draft and a short Description before clicking Draft.
How do I find a list of drafts for a specific module item?
To view a list of drafts for any of the module items in Campus Suite click on the double page icon (Drafts) to the right of the item's title to be taken to the Drafts Menu for that item.
How do I revert to a previous version of a draft?
To revert to a previous version of a draft in Campus Suite, while viewing the Drafts Menu for an item, click Revisions to the right of the draft's title and select the version you want to revert to by clicking on the arrow to the right of the version.
How do I edit a draft?
To edit a draft in Campus Suite, while viewing the Drafts Menu for an item click, on the then the Pencil icon to the right of the draft's title. After making the necessary edits you will be given the options to either save as a Revision or as a Draft. Saving as a Revision will save over the draft you are editing. While saving as a Draft will create a new Draft.
How do I publish a draft?
To publish the draft of a module items you will need to be in the Drafts Menu that contains the draft, click on the rocket icon to the right of the draft's title.
How do I duplicate a draft?
To duplicate a draft, while in the Drafts Menu for a module item, click on the clone icon to the right of the draft
How do I delete a draft?
To delete a draft, navigate to the Drafts menu that it is stored in, click on trash can to the right of the draft's title. Please remember once a draft is deleted it cannot be recovered.
How do I know if a draft is live?
You can tell if a draft is live while in the Drafts Menu by looking for two things. The first is that the vertical gray bar to the left of the draft's title will be blue. The second is that the clone tool will be the only icon showing for a live draft.
