The Impersonate permission allows someone to see and access your website resources the same way another user does by allowing you to impersonate that person. This is considered and admin-only function and it should not be given to just anyone. Campus Suite support will use it often to help support you. When a user reports an issue, sometimes it's just easier to see that issue by being logged in as that user. However, logging in as a user requires that persons password to login. Even an admin cannot retrieve a user account password, so the Impersonate function is the next best thing. This allows you to temporarily take on any role or permissions associated with an individual account.

Note: While impersonating another account you will only be able to edit the departments that are associated with their account and any roles assigned to them. Also those with the Admin role cannot be impersonated.

The second area will be where  normally your name is located in the upper right hand corner (see below). While impersonating another that account will be displayed there instead. Also the avatar to the right the account will resemble the one on the main dash.
