If the times of your sync are incorrect, the first place you can check is Tenant Locale in the Site Settings. Check to see if the Timezone field is correct. The city that is showing in the TIMEZONE field should be in the same time zone as the school is located in.
The second place you can check is in your google calendar and see if the time zone is set there. Below are the instructions on how to check and if needed change the time zone for your Google Calendar.
